    Grímsvötn is a cinder cone volcano located underneath a glacier and lake in Iceland. It boils water from deep underground, drawing magma from the mantle. Many other cinder cone and composite volcanoes are also located near Grímsvötn. In April 2013, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake occurred about 15 km east of the volcano.

    Grmsvtn

    Grmsvtn is a cinder cone volcano located underneath a glacier and lake. It boils water and is very far underground so that it draws magma from the mantle.

    Many other cinder cone volcanoes are around where Grmsvtn is. Also, many composite volcanoes are there.

    A M5.5 earthquake occurred at 00:59 on 2nd April 2013 about 15 km east of Grmsey .
