Accounts Accounts are payable in advance on a bi-weekly schedule. $25 late charges are added to accounts not cleared by the following Wednesday. Fees/Tuition Our rates are subject to change. Please note rates are found on your fee contract. Rates are per child, regardless of attendance. Annual $50registration fee due March 1stof each calendar year.

State Regulations Precious Peas is licensed with the Texas Department of Protective & Family Services. We comply & abide by the rules and standards in the Texas Minimum Standards. You are welcome to view a copy of the standards and current Licensing Inspection Report located on the parent wall at anytime. A Copy of licensing regulations pertaining to gang free zones will be provided to you. Bullying will not be tolerated. We provide a safe environment and want your child to feel safe at our facility. Emergency Preparedness Plan Fire drills & weather related emergency drills are practiced and recorded monthly. We follow local weather authority Instructions; thus, you are required pickup your child in the event of facility closure. We also follow local school district emergency closing times/dates. Pearland, TX 77581 Breastfeeding Mothers are encouraged to breastfeed in out facility at anytime. Comfortable seating is provided in infant room.

Hours and Day of Operation Precious Peas operates Monday Friday 6 am to 7pm. Hours outside of regular school hours will require an additional fee. Holidays Our facility is closed on the following holidays: New Years Day Martin Luther King Day Good Friday Memorial Day July 4th Labor Day The week of Thanksgiving The Week of Christmas New Years Day

Medical Emergencies In the event of a medical emergency you will be contacted immediately. If your child requires medical attention, staff will contact 911 and your child will be transported to the nearest hospital. An incident/illness form upon arrival the next day should be signed and placed in file. Our staff is certified in CPR & First Aid. Parental Notifications Parents can receive facility notifications, such as curriculum, upcoming field trips, pertaining to involvement of children. The parent board is located at the front entrance of the facility on. Please check the parent board daily for new/updated information. Meals & Snacks
Precious Peas participates with the food program. We provide breakfast and two snacks. Parents must bring in lunch on a daily/weekly basis.

Operational Changes Any changes to operational policies you will receive a written notice. Acknowledgment of these changes via statement that you have received a copy of the updated polices. Transportation/Field Trips Precious Peas does not participate with field trips. We do not offer transportation. Animals On occasions we will allow for animals to visit our program. This is beneficial for some of our lessons and the children really enjoy about learning about animals. If you wish to opt your child out , please let the director know in advance so they we can make additional arrangements. Parental Visitation & Involvement Parents ONLY are welcome to visit their child in our facility at anytime. Parents are encouraged to participate in activities. Fundraisers To keep the cost of tuition down, each child is required to participate with Spring & Fall fundraisers. *Details to follow at time of fundraiser*

Release of Children
During the admission process you will be asked to list names of individuals that will be allowed to pick-up your child . Your child will only be released to the person (s) on the admission application.

Illness and Exclusion


Children should not be brought to the facility when they or ill. Children who show signs of illness while will be isolated from others and you are required to pick up your child within a two hour window. Child may NOT return unless a doctors note is provided.

Signs of illness include:


Fever of 101 degrees or higher Diarrhea Vomiting Excessive Coughing Pink Eye Rash

Discipline & Guidance Positive methods of guidance are utilized by Precious Peas caregivers, resulting in redirecting inappropriate activities, such as hitting, scratching, etc. Harsh or cruel punishments are prohibited from Precious Peas corrective guidance policies. Prohibited actions include:

Medications
Precious Pea will administer medication under the following conditions: The medications is prescribed by a physician. Name, date of birth & dosage listed on bottle. Parent signs Authorization form

with food, naps, or diaper changing Pinching, shaking or biting a child Hitting a child with a hand/instrument Putting anything in/on a childs mouth Humiliating, , rejecting, or yelling Subjected to harsh/abusive language
