NATIVE AMERICAN LECTURE SERIES Spring 2013

SPONSORED BY THE ROD & GUN CLUB OF NEW BEDFORD NATIVE AMERICAN COMMITTEE
We are offering two lectures covering topics about Native peoples in the New England region. The cost is $10.00 each lecture per person in advance or collected at the door. LECTURE SCHEDULE
June 29, 2013, 2:30 to 3:30 pm Native speaker and performing artist Jonathan Perry (Aquinnah Wampanoag) will discuss Conflict Resolution. Running a gauntlet, Road/Canoe Race and many more examples. Cornbread and coffee will be available. July 13, 2013, 2:30 to 3:30 pm Leah Hopkins (Niantic) will discuss the foods we eat and how they are beneficial to us. Ms. Hopkins has spent years assisting at the Pequot Museum and working with Children Programs at Aquinnah. Refreshments will be available.
Proceeds to support seasonal cultural programs at the Rod and Gun Club of New Bedford.

Directions
Take I 195 East or 195 WestExit 11 (Reed Road Dartmouth), Reed Road continues into Hixville Road, which becomes N. Hixville Rd, Look for a sign to the Rod & Gun Club. Turn onto Collins Lane and follow road to parking lot.
