To Whom It May Concern: The most effective educators know that successful outcomes for students take place when teachers, guidance counselors, administrators and parents work together as partners. When I first met Karin Knapik, a teacher and colleague at Uxbridge High School, I was immediately impressed that she understood this dynamic. In my role as a Dean of Students, Science/Technology Department Head and classroom teacher I consult with teachers on a daily basis in order to meet the many and various needs of students. I have observed that Karin always takes the time to get to know her students; she cares about each one of them and their success. Karin is well schooled in her subject area and is always looking for new and exciting information to share with her students. Furthermore, I believe that Karins sense of humor, flexibility, and patience played an important role in the success students have in her classroom. Karin Knapik is well respected by both faculty and students at Uxbridge High School. Her creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to her students and specifically technology education are inspirational. She is a principled person and understands how important it is for students to receive a quality education. She creates lesson plans that are engaging for students, many of which are multi disciplinary. Within our district, she wears many hats and manages to be successful on all fronts. It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Karin Knapik; a devoted teacher and one of the finest people I know. If given the opportunity, I know that Karin will be an important addition to your school and district. Sincerely,

Mike Dimeglio Dean of Students Uxbridge High School mdimeglio@uxbridge.k12.ma.us 508-278-8633
