    GO GREEN PROJECT PROPOSAL


    Proposed themeDateVenue -

    For the GO GREEN project of the United Nations Club, would like the participation of the Student body of Methodist College. Also the club like the participation of the students from both the Primary and Middle school in a series of activities Organized by the members of the club

    Given below are the details of each activity

    GRADE 3- Green Thumb -The Activity assigned to the students of grade 3 is to plant a tree that can bear fruits or vegetables.The students should also record their observations as the plant keeps growing

    Grade 4- Green ON -Each class will be provided with a long strip of paper on which they would draw their ideas on Environmental pollution and preserving the environment. Grade 5-Whats your idea? -The activity of this grade is to gather information regarding conserving the planet. The activity of the class would be to bring these informative articles, pictures and

    Slogans on how they can GO GREEN The club is willing to provide notice boards to each class in grade 5 so that this information could be pasted or be put up the students. Grade 6, 7 and 8-Recycle Exhibition -The classes of these grades will have to collect their waste materials, pick out the items that can be recycled .The materials once it has been sorted can be used to make craft items. Finally these items made by the students will be exhibits for an exhibition organized by the club Grade 9-Cartoon competition -The grade 9 students will have to draw cartoons or comics on different themes given to the by the club regarding the theme GO GREEN

    Grade 10 and above- Speaker -An informative talk on problems that Sri Lankans face with regard to the theme at hand and things that are being done and measures that can be taken and has been taken by the authorities

    Apart from that the club would like to help the Environmental club of Methodist College to recycle waste materials in the school Thank you Sincerely . (UN club President)
