Objectives of the conference are: 1) Discuss the practical applications of Shakespeares writings 2) Focus on the influence of Shakespeare at a global level 3) Examine the effect of Shakespeare in non-traditional areas. The papers do not have to discuss Shakespeare and English Literature, but can cover any number of themes and topics, up-to and including: Puns and Shakespeare Shakespeare and the ESL classroom Poetry and Semantics Pop-culture and Shakespeare Translating Shakespeare Shakespeare Across Cultures and Boundaries Shakespeare in the Public Sphere Shakespeare and Fashion Shakespeare and Gender Shakespeare and Media Shakespeare Scholarship Shakespeare and Technology
