. Reflection: February 4, 2013 to February 8, 2013. This week was my second week of teaching and we began to discuss the topic of Poetry. I prepared a Power Point Presentation with examples of the elements of Poetry and Poetry styles. But right before beginning to introduce the topic, I decided to give a Pre-test on Poetry, to get a notion of how familiar they were with concepts we were going to work on. The students were introduced and review some Poetry Elements by looking the definitions of some terms and examples. I think February is an excellent month for teaching Poetry because it is the month that we celebrate love and friendship due February 14, San Valentines Day. So the next week, they were going to write their own poems and Im expecting that they will feel inspire to write, especially about love. This week also, on February 6, the teacher had to be absent to school. This day, I was in the school, but I was in Sara Troches classroom, the English seventh grade teacher. Also this day we receive the exploratory visit from Dr. Maritza Reyes Laborde. The reason for the visit of Dr. Maritza Reyes was because on this week, the teacher candidate Mrs. Kirstie Morales joined the group of teacher candidates in the school with Mrs. Sara Troche as her cooperating teacher. Dr. Maritza Reyes is the practice teaching supervisor of Mrs. Kirstie Morales and both of them were very excited about this new beginning in the practice teaching experience. Now with Mrs. Kirstie Morales in our team, we are joining our forces in the hopes of leaving a bigger impact or legacy as the English Practice Teachers from the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao in our beloved school the Juan Ponce de Len Junior High School.
