    A form 5 students essay. An essay response taken from the students mid semester examination. A descriptive essay written for 1119 English Language Paper which is one of the core subjects in form 4 & 5 Malaysian Secondary Schools. Language Use - Good range of language structures. - Good command of English Language. How formal is the language - Appropriate use of register. - Generally correct generic structure (genre style). - The format fulfills the task requirement. Choice of vocabulary - Fairly accurate and adequate range of vocabulary that allows comprehension. Intended audience - English Language Teacher and examiner. What do the intended readers know about the topic? - The intended readers are expecting to see the differences and the similarity of the points given with the one stated in the suggested answers as well as in the rubrics for evaluation. Why would they read the text? - For evaluation purposes. - For preparation of the further enrichment or remedial activities. - To fulfill the job obligation. Purpose of the text - To be evaluated. - To fulfill the task requirement. - To inform (secondary/ indirect purpose)
