The Bodys Transport System


The

heart is the main organ of the circulatory system. Circulatory system is a group of organs and tissues that move essential supplies to body cells and remove their waste products.

Circulation and the Bodys Cells


Your

circulatory system is made up of the your heart which pumps the blood, blood vessels in which the blood passes, and blood which carries the nutrients and oxygen. Cell respiration is the process in which the bodys cells are nourished and energized.

The

blood picks up oxygen from the lungs and nutrients from the digestive system, which delivers to the bodys cells. The cells use these materials to create energy for the body. Then the blood takes back the wastes.

Blood
There

are three kind of blood. The red blood cell which carries oxygen and takes back carbon dioxide. The white blood cell which carries germ fighters from the immune system to area where needed And the platelets which helps blood clot ant the site of a wound.

Blood Vessels
Arteries

are blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to parts of the body. Veins are blood vessels that carry blood from other parts of the body back to the heart. Capillaries are tiny blood vessels that connect the veins arteries to the bodys cells.
