5TH GRADE NEWS!

Dear 5th grade parents, I cant believe this was our last full week of school. It has been so much fun teaching your kids I have enjoyed being with them this year! In math, the orange group reviewed for and took a test on chapter 22, integers. They also began working on chapter 23, coordinate planes. They learned how to graph points and use function table with graphing. The red group worked on simplifying two step equations, and simplifying single and two step inequalities. They will have a quiz next Tuesday. In writing the students finished their story rough drafts and worked on a peer conference. They will be sharing their stories next week. In English, the students finished up their pronoun unit and took a test on Friday. In reading, the kids read in their literature circles and shared their book reports! I had so much fun at the baby shower last week! Your kids were so sweet and I appreciated everything :) I hope that you all have a great Memorial Weekend! Hopefully the weather will clear up! No uniforms next week! Please dress in concert attire on Wednesday for the graduation mass and bring a change of clothes.

Please send a reusable or strong paper bag in with your child next week. We will use these to clean out desks and lockers.
