No. I/2.1.1 /4 Clarifications The Capacity of Electrolyser is mentioned as 150 Kg/hr Confirmation of MPL/MND Tenderer shall note that the capacity of electrolyser mentioned as 150Kg/hr is a typographical error and shall read it as 3 no.s (2W+1S) of electrolyser of capacity 15 Kg/hr. However tenderer shall note that the electrolyser shall be of capacity suitable to meet the requirement. Tenderer shall quote for both concentric tubular and plate type electrolysers. However the selection of type shall be decided during technical discussion. Tenderer also to note that the acid cleaning system shall be provided for plate type electrolyser. Tenderer shall note that the concentration of the chemicals used for chemical dosing system shall be of 10% and the dosing pumps shall be of suitable capacity. Tenderer shall note that the increase in TDS may be of negligible quantity. However tenderer to design the Drinking water system as per tender specification.

    In the Chemical dosing system, the capacity of the dosing pumps could not be arrived at due to the absence of the concentration of the chemicals in w/v units. Alternately if you can inform us the capacity of the dosing pumps we can quote for the same. It is give in the RFQ that Sodium hypochlorite generated from Sea water is being used for disinfecting drinking water facility also which is not a recommended practice since the sea water

    Clarifications with all its constituent contaminates can make the drinking water unpalatable for drinking and mar the quality of the drinking water. A small electrochlorination system (may be a batch type system) may be installed to meet this requirement.
