The magic of Christmas

There are a few days until Christmas, but everybody in my town has welcomed the spirits of Christmas in their houses and hearts and, in order to celebrate this magnificent holyday, the local authorities have organized in the city center a traditional Christmas fair. There have been made many preparations for this event. Scented wreaths, glittering Christmas lights and colourful festoons have been hung from street lights all around town, especially in the city center. The weather has been a bless for the atmosphere, since it has snowed in the past two days, though, today the sun has made an appearance and has warmed up everyones frozen faces. Children have enjoyed seeing Santa Claus and took pictures of him and his reindeer. Some have even went on a ride in Santas sleigh through the city center, while their parents enjoy a glass of fragrant mulled wine. Children can also see a representation of the Nativity scene, where sometimes are used live sheep. Annually in the city center is set up a market with traditional aliments like delicious cheese and bitter plum brandy which are sold by sweet-spirited merchants who stay in little, cozy cottages scattered across the city center. For those who want to have more fun, near the market is open a skating rink where everyone can skate on the rhythm of the latest music. The Christmas fair in my city is a reminder for everybody that Christmas is about family and love. No matter how angry you are with someone, on this particular occasion you shouldnt have bad feelings, on the contrary, everyone should welcome in their hearts the magic and warmth of Christmas.
