    The SES PTA General Membership Meeting was called to order on April 26, 2013. The president introduced present and absent board members.     SES PTA General Membership Meeting Minutes

    Date: April 26, 2013 Time: 6:30 pm Location: SES/ SMS Cafeteria

    Attendees : John Knapp (President), Lisa Devine ( VP-Volunteer Coordinator), Liza Balough (VP- Ways and Means), Jennifer Grant (Treasurer), Alexis White (Assistant Principal), Mary Foreman (Principal), Tracy Downey ( Recording Secretary) 1) Meeting called to order by John Knapp at 6:30 2) Presidents report a. Introduction of present board members listed above and absent board members TJ Ucciardi (teacher representative), Karen Kalinski (Parent/ Teacher Liaison), Irene Egan (Communications and Technology Secretary) and Tony Martin (Parliamentarian) b. Introduction of election and introduction of Michelle Kapp as election facilitator 3) Election a. Brief descriptions of board roles and positions currently without nominees b. Current nominees that have been reelected unopposed include i. John Knapp (President) ii. Liza Balough (VP- Ways and Means) iii. Karen Kalinski (Parent/ Teacher Liaison) iv. Tracy Downey ( Recording Secretary) c. Open positions without nominees include Treasurer, VP- Volunteer Coordinator and communications and Technology Secretary. d. Ms. Kapp encouraged all in attendance to get involved with the PTA and serve on the board in one of the open positions if possible. She further reiterated the importance of having a treasurer as the PTA cannot exist without a treasurer on the board. 4) Meeting adjourned at 6:50. 5) Talent show to follow.
