Application Guidelines for Scholarships

Hard copy applications will be deemed ineligible. Only applications made using the University of Glasgow scholarship online application system will be considered. If you do not have an offer of place for a postgraduate taught or undergraduate programme at the University of Glasgow, your application for a scholarship will not be considered. Note: you can only submit ONE application online. You will not be able to go back and change your details. Deadline: 26 April 2013

Personal Details
Name and Date of Birth: Enter your surname/family name, forename or other name(s) date of birth. Country of Citizenship: Enter the country listed on your passport. Country of Residence: Enter the country where you currently live; this may be the same as your country listed on your passport. Email Address: Enter an email address at which we can contact you at anytime. Information about scholarships is sent electronically so please provide up- to- date contact details. Application Number: Undergraduates please enter your UCAS number. For postgraduates, this is the number you received when you applied for your course on line through our Direct Admissions Online system. Do not leave this blank. Level of Study: Please select the appropriate box if you are coming to study as an undergraduate or a postgraduate in the upcoming academic session.

Fee Status
There are different levels of fees payable by students whose status is Home/EU, Rest of UK (RUK) and International. Please tick the appropriate box for your fee status as determined by the Admissions team. For information on fee status: www.gla.ac.uk/scholarships/feestatus/

Scholarships
Select the scholarship you wish to be considered in the appropriate box. You can select more than one.

Programme Information
Programme of Study: This is the programme of study that you have applied AND have an offer; the programme can be found on your offer letter and/or communications from the university. If you have applied for more than one programme, please indicate this on your personal statement. Offer Status: Enter details of your current offer status on your admissions application. This will be detailed on your offer letter sent to you by Admissions. Note: If you have not received an offer of place you will not be able to submit a scholarship application.

Financial Resources
Resources Available for Study: Select the boxes indicating how you intend to fund your studies at the University of Glasgow.

Personal Statement
Please complete a statement outlining how you meet the criteria of the award, your plans for your year of studies and how the scholarship will help you achieve your future goals. The statement should also briefly outline qualities and ability to represent the University in an ambassadorial role.
