Madam/Mister President and Members of the Honourable Court, Good morning/afternoon/ evening.

I am and it is my signal honour to appear on behalf of Applicant, the Republic of Alguia, before this Honourable Court today. (1) My co-agent has just enlightened this Court on Applicants first submission regarding Respondents violation of international law when she/it encroached upon Alguian Territory (2) As second agent, I am now tasked to bring to light Applicants last two submissions concerning the attack on the Temple of Agaviva namely: first, that Respondents destruction of the Avaviva Temple violated International Law; and second, that Respondent be liable to Applicant for reparations and satisfaction in the form of a formal apology.

Unless this court has any preliminary observations, I shall now proceed to discuss my first submission. Thank you, YE.

(5) Article 2 of the same Convention provides that the protection of cultural property includes the safeguarding of and respect for such property2 which should be during times of peace as well
