Do you love History? Are you passionate about the past? Do you believe in preserving local Heritage?

We have 2 fantastic projects for Students, Post-grads and history lovers alike to experience working in a Museum environment
Project 1: Cataloguing and researching Museum handling collection. This project is ideal for students or post grads that have studied/ have a keen interest in History/Material Culture and/or Museum/ Gallery studies. You will assist The Spring in cataloguing and researching the current Museum handling collection. Project 2: Research into local areas past for Heritage Trail. This project will allow you the chance to develop/ strengthen professional research skills in a Museum/Gallery environment. You will be researching buildings of notable historical interest and interesting periods in local history, your work will be collated with the existing Havant Heritage Trail, working towards the an Aural Trail. Both projects are un-paid experience positions and will last 6 weeks, working at The Spring for 1 day a week during this time; dates to be agreed between chosen applicant and the Education and Heritage Officer.
