Meet Pat Nugent, new Pima Community College

Pat Nugent Biography
Nugent was previously the head varsity football coach at Canyon Del Oro High School in the Amphitheater
School District. He has achieved an overall varsity coaching record of 90 – 42 during his twelve-year
tenure. In Nugent’s first year as the head coach at Canyon Del Oro High School, he led a team that had
been 0 – 10 the previous year to a record of 6 – 4. He then went on to guide the program to five conference
championships and six playoff appearances. Under his watch, the team was a 4A State runner up in
2007 and a State Semi-Finalist in 2008.

Nugent’s honors as a football coach include:

• 4A-5A South All Star Coach (2007)
• 4A-I Coach of the Year (2007)
• Tucson Citizen Co-Coach of the Year (2007)
• Arizona Daily Star Coach of the Year (2000)
• 4A-5A South All Star Assistant Coach (1995)
