DR. ROLANDO GAAC

ENERGY
(physics) a thermodynamic quantity equivalent to the capacity of a physical system to do work

ENERGY

CLIMATE CHANGE

BEHAVIOR OF CLIMATE CHANGE

CLIMATE CHANGE
A regional change in temperature and weather patterns. Current science indicates a discernible link between climate change over the last century and human activity, specifically the burning of fossil fuels.

BEHAVIOR OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Forms of climatic inconsistency, but because the Earth's climate is never static, the term is more properly used to imply a significant change from one climatic condition to another. In some cases, climate change has been used synonymously with the term, global warming; scientists however, tend to use the term in the wider sense to also include natural changes in climate.

PHILOSOPHY AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO THE TOPIC

MEANING

PHILOSOPHY

RELATIONSHIP

TOPIC ENERGY (physics) a thermodynamic quantity equivalent to the capacity of a physical system to do work

PHILOSOPHY Confirmation holism also called epistemological holism is the claim that a single scientific theory cannot be tested in isolation; a test of one theory always depends on other theories and hypotheses.

RELATIONSHIP That one cannot unambiguously determine which theory is refuted by unexpected data means that scientists must use judgments about which theories to accept and which to reject.
