The lakes, canals and the distributaries are full of fish and the people living here don't have much food.

Yesterday, we went to Tulcea. Here we visited The Eco-Turistic Museum of The Danube Delta and got in the harbor because we had to cross over with the boat, to Sulina. After we got there, we took a walk to the old lighthouse in Sulina, which now serves as a museum. It is 23 meters high and it's the host of several clothes and jewelery belonging to nobleman that died hundreds of years ago. Many Greek, German, Italian and French people died in Sulina, making the Maritime Cemetery known worldwide; the princess Ecaterina Maruzi also died here.

In Sulina the writer Jean Bart was born, and his leather chair with armrests shaped as a lions head, on which he sat and wrote, is still kept in the old lighthouse. After we left Sulina, we visited the Saint George distributary, the most famous fishing zone in the country, and after that the Sulina distributary where you can see the border betweeen Romania and Ucraine. The Danube Delta is an area that anyone should visit at least once in a life time.
