Katie Paine, CEO of KDPaine & Partners, gave lectures focused on the measurement of Social Media at Brigham Young University on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Paine is a founding member of the Institute for Public Relations Commission on Research and Evaluation, the Public Relation Industrys standard-setting body for measurement. Paine cochaired the US Public Relations Task Force-developed to establish standards for Public Relations evaluation- and she served as the US liaison to the European Standards Task Force to set international standards for media evaluation. Paine lectures to conferences and universities around the country including The Conference Board, Public Relations Society of America, International Association of Business Communications, The San Francisco Academy, International Public Relations Association, the University of New Hampshire, New Hampshire College, and San Jose State University. A Cum Laude graduate of Connecticut College's class of 1974, Paine majored in history and Asian studies. She received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from New Hampshire College in May 1996. During Paines visit to Provo she met with the account executives within the Bradley Agency, a professional public relations agency located on BYUs campus. The Bradley Agency allows students to work in an experienced environment with professional clients including BYU Department of Communications, Human Resource Association of Central Utah, Millenniata, More Good Foundation, Mozy Inc., School Tipline, UNICEF Tap Project, Utah Department of Transportation, and the Utah Humanities Council.
