U#5 LP Turbine Inspection(Day to Day)

Date 31.01.2013 Work Performed 1. Tools arrangement 2. Turbine front standard/HIP casing cover removal. 3. Fire Fighting lines dismantled. 4. Folding work to dismantle crossover pipe. 1. Cross over pipe insulation removal. 2. Cross over pipe bellows tightening work. 3. All the bolts of cross over pipe were removed. 4. Seal Wires and Chain blocks arrangement. 5. Tried to lift the cross over pipe but couldnt succeed. 1. Cross over pipe lifted. 2. Folding removal work. 3. All the bolts of LP exhaust hood dismantled along with dovel pins. 4. Both rupture disks (diaphragms) removed. 5. Lifting arrangement (seal wires and chain blocks) of LP exhaust hood was made. 6. Tried to lift the LP exhaust hood but couldnt succeed. No work performed. 1. LP exhaust hood lifted. 2. LP exhaust hood and cross over pipe cleaning work. 3. All bolts cleaning work. 4. Planks and cotton cloth were arranged in order to make arrangement to work on LP turbine inner casing. 5. Hand holes removal work. 1. Sealing work in the holes of LP turbine inner casing to avoid any foreign material in the extraction piping. 2. All the tools used were arranged and folded with bending wires. 3. Two bolts of inner casing were dismantled. 4. Cleaning work continued in parallel. 1. Almost 40 bolts of inner casing were dismantled. 2. Cleaning work continued in parallel. 1. All the remaining bolts (almost 40) of inner casing were removed. 2. 8 dovel pins and some of the bolts which can be

dismantled by hammer spanners, removed. 3. Cleaning work continued in parallel. 1. Heaters and their plugs were arranged. 2. Hydrogen Purging performed. 3. Cleaning work continued in parallel. 1. 22 bolts were heated and removed. 2. Cleaning work continued in parallel.
