Honors United States History II

4th Quarter Project

For the 4th quarter all three of my US History II classes will be working on a collaborative
project called Project 2000.

The Project: Each team will pick a topic that has happened from the year 2000 up to
and including the present that the team believes will be found in an
United States History textbook 30 years in the future.

Your topic can be a person, group of people, or a political, social,

economic or scientific event.

The Assignment: this assignment has three major components that must be completed

1. Information
a. You must clearly describe your topic and also clearly explain why
your team feels your topic is important enough to be taught to students
in the future.
b. Your team must also create a 10 question interactive quiz on your topic
that will be embedded in your webpage ( I will help with this)

2. Design
a. You must design and create a dynamic website that presents your
information from #1 (some examples)
i. Text size, color, buttons
ii. Navigation and organization
iii. Operating links to other pages
b. Students may use any application (PowerPoint, Photostory,
MovieMaker, etc) in the design of their page

3. Presentation
a. Each team will present their topic and website to their class
b. Presentations will be 4-5 minutes in length

Grade: this assignment will count as a major grade for the 4th Quarter

1. Information = 50 points
2. Design = 50 points
3. Presentation = 50 points
