Student Teaching
The Edward Devotion Elementary School Brookline, MA -Student teaching experience in a fifth grade classroom five days a week -Created and implemented lessons across the curriculum in alignment with state standards and Brookline Learning Expectations. -Worked extensively with Think Math, the Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading Program, and the Responsive Classroom Model -Used the Words Their Way Spelling Inventories to inform instruction and place students in a Word Study program -Created and implemented assessments across the curriculum as a way of measuring student growth and understanding -Created and implemented a Social Studies unit on the United States Constitution -Attended faculty meetings, team meetings with the fifth grade team, and parent-teacher conferences -Kept own records of student work in order to measure growth and inform instruction -Assessed students using the QRI and GORT tests throughout the semester -Used Smart Board technology daily as a way to implement instructional technology into lessons 2013
