    Over 8000 people carried the Olympic Torch across the United Kingdom over 69 days.

    205 countries took part. Over 10,000 athletes took part in over 30 venues. There were 300 sporting events took place across the UK.

    List of sports These are some of the sports that took place. my favourite sport is Archery

    Opening Ceremony
    The finale of the Ceremony was the lighting of the Cauldron which had 205 copper petals which representing the 205 nations taking part

    Medal Winners
    Team GB came third in The Olympic Games winning 65 medals.
