discovered the falls
in 1613 but the
first that wrote
about them was
Father Louis
Hennepin in 1678.
Height and lenght
• The Canadian part of the falls
is also called Horseshoe Fall
and its height is about 49 m
and the American fall is about
51 metres. The falls are
separated by Goat Island,
New York. The length of the
Canadian falls is about 790
