Underline keywords that stand out; you can use them to find their location in the passage. 3. Scan the reading and keep an eye out for the keywords related to the questions. 4. Once you have narrowed down the location, read the that portion of the passage and mark your best guess. 5. Once you have marked answers for all the questions, check your time. If you have time left and you are not confident with your answers, take the time to go back and read more carefully. Reading obviously involves a lot of vocabulary, and sometimes you won't recognize certain words. If a difficult vocab word is part of the question you must answer, don't panic! Think about the topic of the article and the author's intentions. Think about the paragraph the word is in and what the paragraph is trying to explain.
