Garden at Police Activities League Headquarters to be dedicated in memory of Officer Celena Hollis
Who: Family members of Officer Celena Hollis Denver Police Chief Robert White PAL Deputy Director Jake Schroeder Linda Childears, President and CEO, Daniels Fund What: Family members of Officer Celena Hollis will be joined by police and community officials in the dedication of a garden in her memory. Officer Hollis was killed in the line of duty on June 24, 2012. When/Where: The dedication will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Jerry Kennedy Police Activities Headquarters, 1240 West Bayaud Avenue, Denver (just off I-25 and Alameda, and just north on Platte River Drive). Family members of Officer Hollis will place the final plants in the garden just prior to the brief dedication ceremony. Why: Thousands of young people participate in programs sponsored by the Police Activities League in Denver and the Officer Celena Hollis Memorial Garden will be a fitting way to recall the life and service of this extraordinary police officer.
