    UCF has a large Greek life population, but recently faced an issue with hazing that has affected many schools since the late 1990s. To address this, the author proposes creating a student mentoring group against hazing, comprised of those affected by or involved in Greek life. The group would hold counseling sessions for victims and presentations each semester demonstrating hazing's effects. Brochures and booklets would supplement the presentation, and students must pass a test to show their understanding before participating in Greek life.

    Many student flock towards UCF because of the large population of the school and the popular Greek

    life. Recently, the Greek life at UCF ran into the issue of hazing. Even though this issue is new to UCF, it has been an issue at many schools since the late 1990s.

    To help students understand the severity of hazing and how to recognize it in action, I have two major plans in mind:

    1.

    Create a student mentoring group with students who are advocates against hazing because they:

    A)Have been effected by the act themselves B) Have witnessed others being hazed C) Are currently or formally part of the Greek community

    The mentoring group will have two main tasks:


    A)Hold counseling sessions to talk to those who feel that they have been victims B) Have a large presentation at the beginning of each semester to demonstrate the effects of hazing

    2. Brochures and Booklets


    Students will also be given brochures and booklets that will explain everything in the presentation. They will later be tested on their knowledge of the subject. A passing grade will allow them to participate in Greek life.
