ILLEGAL ARMS TRAFFICKING

AS INDICATOR OF TERRORISM
- perational and preventive aspects
Abstract

In this master thesis will give a general picture of the illegal arms trade as an indicator
of terrorism. The review will provide and display the illegal arms, ammunition and explosive
substances and its connection with terrorism.

The weapon is a generator of fear, generate fear, irreversible danger to human life. Illegal
arms trafficking is a contemporary social evil which has an international character. It is an
important stage in the planning and conduct of terrorist activities, to deliver a terrorist act and
for the maintenance of terrorist organizations. Illegal arms trafficking is a driving force of
terrorism, so that terrorist organizations could implement its agenda without lethal weapons.
If no weapon, no terrorism, no sowing fear, no panic, no realization of terrorist targets.

Within the operational - the preventive treatment in trafficking with weapons,

ammunition and explosive substances and terrorism described with operational and tactical
measures and investigative activities undertaken by the authorities for criminal prosecution
and preventive aspects and concluding observations and recommendations, seeks to
contribute more effectively deal with illegal arms trafficking, early detection and prevention
to avoid the weapon in the hands of terrorists.

The main objective to achieve is finding suitable, adequate and effective strategy for
early, timely, detection and preventing illegal trade in arms and taking preventive measures
that do not perform and does not reach the hands of terrorists.
