– The beggar challenges Odysseus
because he looks weak, but when he
takes hi robes off he is a beast

Odysseus he will not be spared by

• Amphinomus:
– One of the suitors who demonstrates
kindness by giving Odysseus food and
drink. Because Odysseus pities him, he
tells him that Odysseus will soon be
home and everyone here will die, but
Amphinomus will not leave.
