Batterboards and Bench Marks A. B. C. Provide and maintain well-built batterboards at corners and offsets of buildings. Establish and safeguard bench marks in at least two widely separated places and set permanent properly marked bench marks at WORK completion. As WORK progresses, establish bench marks at the floor level. Exercise care in laying out WORK to keep within the property line.
