KINDLON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE An Albany City Court jury acquitted Matthew Gendreau Wednesday morning of a single count of Endangering the welfare of a child following just a half-hour of deliberation. Lee Kindlon of Kindlon Shanks & Associates represented Mr. Gendreau during the three-day trial that included testimony by three witnesses for the People. Matthew was accused of putting his daughters safety in jeopardy after his ex-wife caught him napping while the child played nearby in his apartment in Albany. The complaining witness, at the time she made the police report, was in the midst of a divorce with the defendant. During cross examination, she admitted that there were no dangers present to the child. This was Lee Kindlons 40th trial since returning to civilian practice seven years ago. It also was the fourth acquittal for the firms attorneys over the past year. Relief, said Lee Kindlon of Kindlon Shanks & Associates, when asked what his client felt after the verdict. Matthew loves his daughter and we knew the jury would see this case for what it was. Lee Kindlon expressed a huge debt of gratitude to the jurors for their time and attention to detail on the behalf of Matthew and his family. ***
