Second Cumberland murders suspect pleads to 110-year sentence


Co-defendant pleaded to 100 years executed sentence in April
(Indianapolis, Ind.) -- Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry announced that Jeremy Priel pleaded guilty today to two counts Murder for his involvement in the December 2011 murders of 7-year-old Kyleigh Crane and her uncle Jeremy Crane in Cumberland. As part of the plea agreement, Priel has agreed to an executed sentence of 110 years for the crimes. Priel is expected to be sentenced on July 26 at 10 a.m. in Court 4. Priel is one of two suspects charged in the murders. Co-defendant Michael Bell pleaded guilty in April to two counts of Murder and is expected to be sentenced to 100 years at a sentencing hearing on August 9. Prosecutors filed requests for Life Sentence Without Parole against both defendants in 2012.
