Concept
The SS 2030 is a lightweight, active multibeam sonar for Anti Submarine Warfare. The operating frequency is multiple with CW/FM ranging from 20 to 30 kHz in 1 kHz steps. The cylindrical Transducer Unit can either be xed or retractable protected by a GRP dome. The Control and Display Unit is based on commercially available components and software.

Functional description
The SS 2030 transmits omni-directional or single beams. Simultaneous vertical and horizontal beams are also available. The beams are electronically steared in order to control tilt and stabilisation. Computer aided target acquisition and sound propagation model are included.

Operations
Multiple screen worksheets are available for control and presentation of the SS 2030 sonar. Presentation views include omni-directional, B-scan with Doppler and time range presentation, as well as simultaneous horizontal and vertical beam patterns. Relative and true motion views and tracking of moving and stationary targets are also available.
