India Argumentative Paragraph!

Gandhi was successful at creating true Indian nationalism through non- violence. He brought the people together through the Salt March & Cloth Burning. In 1930 in order to help free India from British control, Mahatma Gandhi proposed a non-violent march protesting the British Salt March (Gandhi Film 6).This proves my point that Gandhi did succeed because I feel like he did the Salt March to bring the Hindus & Muslims together. Gandhi wanted to stop nonviolence and protest the British Salt Acts. Another example would be the burning of the clothes(Gandhi Film ,Scene 5), symbolized the Indians uniting as a whole. The Indians were forced to buy British cloth because it was a way of non violent protest, Gandhi organised people to gather and burn the British cloth. The clothes that the Indians burned were British made clothes. Through the burning of the cloth and the Salt March, the people came together as one nation and successfully gained Indias independence.
