STEP 1 Warm-up The teacher greets the students and makes sure the conditions are proper to start the lesson ( the students on duty name the absentees if necessary). Interaction: T-Ss, S-T Timing: 2

Introducing the new lesson (Pre-reading)

T. writes on the BB the title Present Perfect vs. Present Perfect Continuous and asks the students to remember the form of these two tenses and their uses. T. helps the students when they need it. The students are asked to write on the blackboard key-words that are specific for both tenses. In their help, T. asks the students to take a look at exercise 4c, page 74 in their textbook and to the language focus box. STEP 3 Exercises Each student is given a worksheet. T. asks the students to solve the first exercise. The students do so. T. provides help, when needed and explains the new words, while writing them on the blackboard. T. monitors and asks for the results. T. explains the new terms in the exercise. The same with exercises, 2,3 and 4. The students solve the sentences and then write them on the blackboard. T. proves help, when needed and explains the sentences. STEP 4 Homework Ss have to solve exercise 5 in their worksheets. T. greets the students and leaves the class. Timing: 3
