Summer is the perfect time to give it another try. In just three simple steps, you can keep those promises you made to yourself at the beginning of the year. Thomas A. Be true to yourself Did your New Year s resolution include pursuits of personal or financial growth? Perhaps the only obstacle stopping you from advancing is knowledge. Be open to new experiences and ideas Do you remember the rush of excitement the first time you rode your bike without training wheels? Although doing the same routine over and over again may be comfortable, the excitement and boost of confidence from learning something new can be the spark to ignite the fire of change and success. Did you resolve to write your memoirs or the great American novel? Was it a career change or promotion you resolved to seek? Seek out new experiences and opportunities to step outside your routine. Join a writing group. Ask for new assignments at the office. Enhance your skills to make yourself more marketable. 3.
