One of the major life functions of all living things is the nutrition. CELEBRITIES William Harvey was a doctor who lived in the 17th century. Harvey found that the blood flowing to the heart in one direction, circulating throughout the body continuously and first gave a full explanation of the circulation of blood. This discovery gave him a place in the history of medicine.

SYSTEMS INVOLVED IN NUTRITION In our nutrition involving four body systems: digestive, circulatory, respiratory and excretory systems. The digestive system:
We must feed our body to get

energy and to grow and reparse, this is called nutrition.

Our body converts food into

simpler substances called nutrients that cells can use. This process is carried out in the digestive system. The respiratory system:
For cells of our body can utilize

these nutrients they need to reach them with oxygen. This process is Carried out in the respiratory system. The circulatory system:
The circulatory system is responsible for transporting

oxygen and nutrients to every cell of our body. The excretory system:

Once our cells have the nutrients consumed, waste

generated in the cells must be expelled, and it is here involved the excretory system. FOOD - FUNCTIONS Foods are made of nutrients and each nutrient has one or more functions in our body:
Growth and tissue repair. Regulate the functioning of the body. Provide the necessary energy to function.
