    Rule #1- May only be used when
    there is NO OTHER safe means of performing the work! Personnel baskets are the tool of last resort.

    1. Brakes set, level within 1% of grade 2. De-rate machine capacity 50% 3. Load line safety factor 7 times the maximum
    intended loads, except that where rotation resistant rope is used - 10 times. 4. Telescoping boom length indicator 5. Anti-two blocking device, to prevent contact between the load block or aver-haul ball and the boom tip.

    Rigging used only for personnel basket Basket landed or secured before entry Employees tied off to basket The platform and rigging shall be proof tested to 125 percent of the platforms rated capacity by holding it in a suspended position for 5 minutes with the test load evenly distributed on the platform.
