    PAST CONTINOUS PASSADO CONTNUO (GERNDIO) AUXILIAR VERB: WERE: YOU, WE, YOU, THEY WAS: I, HE, SHE, IT USES: Aes que duraram no passado; Aes em progresso que foram interrompidas; Aes em progresso ao mesmo tempo; Timidez e perguntas polidas; Irritao. WERE + NOT = WERENT WAS + NOT = WASNT

    EXEMPLES: - The dog was barking last night. - He was painting the window when it started raining. - The family was having dinner and talking. - I was wondering if you could open the window. - She was always coming late for dinner.

    AFIRMATIVE SENTENCES: SUJEITO + VERBO TO BE NO PASSADO + VERBO NO ING + SHE WAS SPEAKING ENGLISH

    NEGATIVE SENTENCES: SUJEITO + VERBO TO BE NO PASSADO + NOT + VERBO NO ING + ... SHE WASNT SPEAKING ENGLISH

    INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES: VERBO TO BE NO PASSADO + SUJEITO + VERBO NO ING + ... + ? WAS SHE SPEAKING ENGLISH?

    INTERROGATIVE NEGATIVE: VERBO TO BE NO PASSADO + NOT+SUJEITO+VERBO NO ING+... + ? WASNT SHE SPEAKING ENGLISH?
