BHLER KW 10-IG
GMAW solid wire, stainless steel Resistant to corrosion

Solid wire type W Z 13 / ER 410 predominantly used for coating gas valve sealing faces, water and vapor piping systems in service temperatures of +450C. The metal welding workability depends on the type of base metal and the dilution grade. Junction welding of steel containing 13% chromium present similar color to the welding metal and excellent condition for polishing. Good feeding characteristics, weldability and wetability. TYPICAL CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF THE DEPOSITED METAL:
% Weight %C 0.06 %Si 0.7 0.6 %Mn %Cr 13.6 u a 450 650 15 --200

TYPICAL MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE DEPOSITED METAL:

No treatment, as welded - protection gas Argon + 8-10% CO2. Voltage release, 720C/2h - protection gas Argon + 8-10% CO2.

The hardness of the deposited metal is widely influenced by the grade of dilution of the base metal (depending on the welding conditions) and its chemical composition. As a general rule, it can be observed that the greater the dilution grade is and the carbon content is in the base metal, the greater is the hardness of the deposited metal. Gas mixtures containing CO2 result in a higher hardness when compared to mixtures free from CO2.

OPERATIONAL DATA:
Protection gas: Air + 8-10% CO2 Air + 5.0%O2 max mm 1.20 1.60

The protection gas should be chosen as per the application. For the junction welding, the preheating and inter-pass temperature should be between 200-300 C. Annealing around 700-750C increases tenacity.

BASE METALS: Coating: all weldable materials, specially carbon steel and low alloy. Junction: Chromium steel resistant to corrosion of similar chemical composition. Pay attention to the dilution and welding technique. 1.4006 X12Cr13, 1.4021 X20Cr13 AISI 410, 420
