Fruits are liked by all age group people either old or young. Beverages made from fruit juices have wide scope due to their nutritional benefits as well as their taste so making such type of beverage has a wide potential in the market. The aonla (Emblika officinalis graten) also known as Indian gooseberry is minor sub tropical deciduous tree indigenous to Indian subcontinent. Aonla can be grown successfully in dry and neglected regions. In India, aonla is grown in an area of about 50000 ha with production of around 200000 metric tonne . Aonla fruit is highly nutritive with a great medicinal use and the richest source of vitamin C. The pulp of fresh fruit contains 200-900 mg of vitamin C. Aonla fruits are highly perishable in nature; its storage is very limited. Various studies were conducted to find the feasibility of blending aonla juice with juices and pulp from lime, grapes, pineapple and mango in different proportions for the preparation of ready-to-drink fruit juice beverages. Beverages prepared by using aonla are hygienic, healthy and provide maximum retention of nutrients.
