Marco Bitran: Staying Involved with Combined Jewish Philanthropies

By Marco Bitran

Introduction

Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) is an organization aimed at helping Jewish people in the greater Boston area as well as in Israel and overseas. It supports local businesses, synagogues, day schools, and camps. CJP strives to help the vulnerable, forge strong connections with Israel, and inspire the next generation to embrace Jewish traditions and teachings.

About Combined Jewish Philanthropies

CJP encourages its members to become involved, whether through volunteer opportunities, joining a group, or attending an event. For volunteering, CJP has opportunities for people of all ages. Individuals can volunteer to assist the elderly, provide pro-bono legal services, help new immigrants, mentor kids, and visit new mothers. Groups allow individuals to connect with others based upon their interests, level of giving, or profession. CJP also has numerous events where members can network, mingle with other families, or partake in activities.
