sub judice rule(literally, under the power of a judge) is any utterance or publication of the merits of the case during

the pendency of the case which tends to prejudice the fair resolution of a case by influencing the courts conduct whereby impairing its impartiality.

The sub judice rule restricts comments and disclosures pertaining to judicial proceedings to avoid prejudging the issue, influencing the court, or obstructing the administration of justice.
