We Built This City You are a civil engineer that is trying to win a contract bid by the town of Tiger

Nation . The city council has a specific design they want for their downtown area. As the civil engineer, it is your job to make their dream of the perfect downtown a reality. Be careful, you must follow all of their requests or you will lose the bid and the commission of $500,000! The city council requests are: Section I. There should be at least 2 parallel streets There is at least 1 perpendicular street. There is at least 1 transversal street.

Section II. At each intersection of streets, there must be a named building from this list below: Firehouse, Police Station, Bank, General Store, Gas Station, City Hall, School, Concert Hall, Senior Center, City Park. You may also include restaurants and shopping stores of your choice. Section III. The city council wants a picture map of your design. Make sure all streets have names, and all buildings are named. You may have a 3-D model instead of a map, but all instructions still apply. Section IV. City council is requesting 4 written statements about the streets linear relationships. An example is Pecan Street is parallel to Maple Street. Section V. They are also requesting 7 written statements of the angular relationships of the building. An example would be: The police station and the fire station are like corresponding angles which are congruent. Rubric CATEGORY POINT VALUE Section 1 12 Business proposal are presented in a portfolio. This is an organized Section 2 12 way of presenting your picture and Section 3 16 your statements. It can be a Section 4 16 folder, slideshow, poster board, or Section 5 28 anything else you can think of that Creativity/Neatness 6 is a clear way to present your Portfolio Presentation 10 project.
