Fingerless!

by Francesca Caricato

I dont know you, I cant wear conventional gloves because I need to feel my fingers are free to move!

Here is a very easy crochet pattern, suitable for beginners and everybody who wishes to create a lovely garment in a few hours. Yarn: about 50g DK weight wool Hook size: 3.5mm

You need two contrasting colors. If you want two identical gloves, a few meters of yarn in a contrasting color should be added to the ball of the main color. Since my intention was to make them positive / negative, I used about 25g of one color and 25g of the other.

As you can see there are 4 sections (repetitions of the same pattern) separated by a contrasting color.

Shape is obtained by folding vertically a crocheted square, by sewing together the edges of the long side but leaving an opening at the third section. Lets go to pattern instructions!

Legenda Ch = chain stitch DC = double crochet 3DC shell = 3 dc into the same base stitch SC = single crochet With main color, make a 35ch foundation chain. Main pattern Row1: 1 ch (as first SC), 34 SC Row2: repeat row1 Row3: 2 ch (as first DC), skip 1, *(3DC shell, skip 2)* x 10, 3DC shell, skip 1, 1 DC Row4: repeat row3 Row5: 1 ch (as first SC), 34 SC Row6: repeat row5 Separation rows in contrasting color Change the thread Row1: 1 ch (as first SC), 34 SC Row2: repeat row1 Change the thread (I suggest not to cut it). Repeat main pattern and separation rows until you get 4 sections (as you can see in pictures). Make the last row to finish: 1 ch (as first SC), 1 SC, *(3 ch, 3 SC)* repeat ** until end. Now, fold and sew - leaving opened the third section: this one is the thumb hole; with hook and contrasting thread make 2 rounds in single crochet. Make an identical second fingerless glove. Have fun!
