    JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY, KOLKATA - 700032 Admission to the B.Sc.

    Courses: 2013 2014

    Applications are invited from Indian nationals for admission to the B.Sc.(Honours) Courses in (i) Chemistry, (ii) Geological Sciences, (iii) Mathematics and (iv) Physics for the Session 2013 2014. Eligibility: Candidates having passed 10+2 Examination from any recognized Board in Science with Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and securing at least 65% marks in average obtained in Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics are eligible. In case of SC/ST/PD/Sports category, minimum requirement of marks is 48% in average obtained in the above mentioned three (3) subjects. For PD candidates minimum 40% disability is also required. Reservation of seats under SC/ST/PD/Sports quota as per Govt. rules. Applications are to be made on-line through the university website admissionas.jdvu.ac.in or www. jaduniv.edu.in on and from 01.06.2013 to 12.06.2013. There will be a Help Desk at Science Faculty Computer Labs. in U.G. Science Building, Ground Floor and P.G. Science Building, 3rd Floor, J.U. Main Campus from 03.06.2013 to 12.06.2013, 11.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M., (except Saturday, Sunday & holidays) and a help-line No. +91-8017238774 (from 11.00am to 5.00pm except Sundays).

    Provisional Lists for eligible candidates to be called for interview for each subject and each category will be displayed on the notice boards of the respective departments, the notice board of the Office of the Faculty Council of Science and on the University website on 25.06.2013. Full-free and Half-free studentship to the extent of 15% and 10% respectively of the total permitted intake may be granted to the deserving students fulfilling all the eligibility requirements to that effect.

    It is to be noted that Ragging is prohibited as per the decision of the Supreme Court of India in writ Petition No( C) 656/1998.
