Your Task:
Your task is to choose and research a topic pertaining to either ancient Greece or ancient Rome. To show your understanding of the topic, you will need to answer the question, How did your topic impact or change the lives of the ancient Greeks or Romans? through a written response. You will also need to create a visual that helps to deepen our understanding of your topic. Your written and visual projects will be displayed in our live, Greco-Roman Museum (Village Theater) on June 3rd as we celebrate GRECO-ROMAN DAY. You are encouraged to follow the famous saying, when in Rome, do as the Romans, by dressing like a person from ancient Greece or Rome.
Requirements:
Research your topic, both in the computer lab and using books, and take notes. Create a project plan sheet that outlines your topic and plan for your visual aid. Write a 1-3 paragraph explanation of how your topic impacted or changed the life of the Greeks or Romans. Create a visual of your choice that helps to deepen our understanding of your topic.
Grading:(50 points)
You will be graded on the following: Writing Answers the Question - Your response answers the question, How did your topic impact or change the lives of the ancient Greeks or Romans? with good detail and explanation. Content Your response is based on factual research information and shows a deep understanding of the content Visual-Aid Relevance Your visual aid ties in well with your topic and helps to improve or deepen our understanding of the topic. Written Explanation Includes factual details and written explanation of what your visual aid shows and how it is connected to ancient Greece or Rome. Quality Your visual shows that you have put a significant amount of time, effort, and thought into the project
