Blue whales, humpbacks, orcas, belugas, sperm whales,

etc.

Includes dolphins and porpoises Extinct whales are believed to have had grasping

fingers in their flippers!

WHALES ARE NOT FISH!!!!!!

Whales breathe air, give live birth to young that they feed with milk, and even have bristly hairs! They are mammals just like you and me!

Types of whales
Toothed whales Actively hunt prey (usually fish or seals) Smaller and faster for more effective hunting Includes dolphins Baleen whales Filter smaller planktonic animals out of the water Larger, slower, and more docile

The Blue Whale

The Blue Whale is the

largest animal ever known to exist! They are approximately as large as a space shuttle, and can weigh more than an entire herd of elephants!

Orcas
Speedy and aggressive

hunters Commonly prey on schools of fish and lounging seals Have been known to knock humans out of boats and drown them
Beautiful but deadly!

Thank you, whales!

Whales patrol the seas, keeping bloodthirsty sea monsters at bay. Without the whales, humanity would be forced to fight these creatures ourselves. We would use nuclear weapons and destroy all life on earth.

Thank you, whales.
