Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC) under the aegis of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence will hold walkin-interview for recruitment of apprentices for one year training in the following disciplines. Essential Qualification (a)Degree in Library & Information Science (b)Diploma in Library Science (Two Years) (c)Degree in Computer Science (B.Tech only) No. of Vacancies 08 06 16 Date of Interview 05 August 2013 06 August 2013 07-08 August 2013

The stipend rates for Degree holder Rs 3560 /- (Fixed) per month and for the Diploma holders (2/3 years) Rs.2530/-(Fixed) per month will be paid as per latest Govt. Rules. The walk in interview will be held at 9.00 AM at DESIDOC. The candidates who have obtained less than 60% marks in their final exams and passed out before 2011 will not be considered for apprenticeship. The candidate belonging to NCR will be given preference. The candidate should bring their Bio-Data giving complete personal detail, qualification and experience etc.and two passport size photographs. The candidates are required to bring all original documents along with attested photocopies of all the certificates for verification. It shall not be obligatory on the part of the DRDO/Lab/Estt, where training is imparted to offer any employment to any apprentice after completing the period of his apprenticeship training. Please also note that candidates who have already got apprenticeship training in any other institute are not eligible.
